Who we are

This site is operated by Dr. Sudhanshu Shekhar Roy and is accessible at https://drsudhanshushekharroy.com. Dr. Roy is the data fiduciary for any personal data submitted through this site.

What we collect and why

We collect personal data only when you voluntarily submit the contact form. That data is:

• Name — to address your enquiry
• Email address — to reply to you
• Organisation (optional) — for context
• Phone number (optional) — if you prefer a call back
• Nature of enquiry and message — to understand and respond to your request

Outside of a form submission, this site collects nothing. There are no cookies, no analytics trackers, and no advertising scripts. Your IP address is used transiently for spam prevention and is never stored.

How your data is used

Your data is used solely to respond to your enquiry. It is not used for marketing, profiling, or any purpose beyond the communication you initiated.

Who processes your data

Two third-party processors handle your data as part of delivering this service:

• Resend (resend.com) — delivers the notification email to Dr. Roy and the confirmation email to you. Resend retains email logs for approximately three days.
• Cloudflare (cloudflare.com) — hosts this website and processes requests through its network. No personal data from form submissions is stored on Cloudflare infrastructure.

No other parties receive your data.

How long we keep your data

Your enquiry details are held in Dr. Roy's email inbox for as long as professionally appropriate. If Dr. Roy replies and an exchange takes place, those emails are retained as business records. If no engagement follows, the email is typically no longer needed once the enquiry is closed.

To request deletion, email contact@drsudhanshushekharroy.com with the subject line "Data deletion request — [your name]". We will confirm within 30 days.

Consent and withdrawal

Your personal data is processed on the basis of your explicit consent, given when you tick the consent checkbox on the contact form. You may withdraw that consent at any time by emailing contact@drsudhanshushekharroy.com with the subject line "Consent withdrawal — [your name]". Withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of processing that took place before withdrawal.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDPA), you have the right to:

• Access — request a summary of the data we hold about you
• Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Erasure — ask us to delete your data
• Grievance redress — if your request is not addressed within a reasonable time, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India
